Drawing a delta wing for streamliner

 I am attempting to draw a delta wing. 

I inserted a picture of a wing chord and traced it with splines.

I think that I should now copy the sketch to an offset plane.

scale the second sketch. 

Loft the two. 

I cannot copy and paste to the offset plane even though I have watched a webcast about copying and pasting to an offset plane several times. 

Am I doing some fundamental error in drawing with Fusion?

The process is somewhat vague, but here is how you can copy a sketch.

1- create your sketch that you want to copy
2- create your offset plane
3- create a new sketch on this offset plane
4- exit this sketch
5- open the first sketch, select all and ctr-c to copy then exit
6- open the offset sketch and ctr-v to paste.

Now, sometimes, and I think depending on from where the offset plane has been created, your copied sketch might not lign up. So you'll have to move it manually.

I just can't get it right.
Everything seems to work ok till step 6

I've just discovered you can copy curves from one sketch to another while editing the second sketch. Just create an offset plane, start a new sketch, select curves from the first sketch and copy then right click and paste.

I've recorded a screencast quickly showing how to copy a sketch and loft an airfoil in Model and Patch environments.

Model env gives you a solid, Patch gives you a surface. Which one to choose depends on what you want to do with the wing downstream.

1. Make sure your airfoil is closed (to form a profile) otherwise you will not be able to loft.
2. If your wing planform is straight, you can extrude it in Patch without it having to form a profile.
