Drag and drop in the data panel

Hi guys,

in the data panel, if e.g. I would like to create a subfolder and then move several files from the current folder into this subfolder, selecting them with shift (or Ctrl) + LMB and then dragging and dropping in said subfolder seems a very basic must to be.

That's a topic I already saw in a post in the IdeaStation from 2017, and it's still not there, even though it makes life so much easier and is common among so many programmes.

I assume I'm not the only one and I hope this comes soon on Fusion 360!

Cheers

Thanks Günther, though it's (a) not as fast as that, there are a few more clicks, which makes it almost as long as the current method, and (b) it only works if you are creating the folder right on the moment, which is not always the case.

NO!

Moving can also be done across projects in existing folders.

ah, then I understood you wrong, I guess because you wrote "move to new folder".

Yes I know that the way you described works. But the point of my post is not how to reach this function by any mean, but rather how to do so by a rapid, simple, intuitive and universal mean, for example drag and drop.

Thanks for staying calm and respectful by the way.
