Double Loop Grease Groove Inside Bore

I am trying to make a bushing with a double loop grease groove in the bore. The bushing measures 2.875" OD with a 2.5" ID and 1.75" long. I want the grease groove to have a .1875 radius and to be cut .0625" Deep.

Can someone explain to me how to model this, send a f3d file, or send a screencast? Thanks

Hi,

Please share the file with basic geometry.

File > export > save as f3d locally  > attach it to the next post.

Do you need it geometrically correct (as in the machining process), or do you just need cosmetically "close enough"?

Do you want double cross or single cross "figure 8"?

Close enough... within .010" or so. Its just a lubrication groove

See previous reply.

Check the depth/radius/angle - I didn't pay attention to your dimensions, just quickly through it together as an example.

I was able to go through the design history of your model and figure out how you did it. Thanks a lot
