Direction has missing selections

I'm manufacturing a part multiple times. For this, I'm using "Setup / New Pattern", which allows me to repeat my toolpaths according a X and Y pattern (direction).

All works fine, but if I saved my work, and open it later, then my "directions" seem to be lost. I always get the below errors. The only way to solve it is to move my toolpaths back above the patter, delete the pattern, and redo the pattern.

Is there a way to save the patterns completely, without having to recreate them?

I attached my full design.

I am not sure I selected the correct axis to define your patterns but after selecting them and saving the file, every time I open it back up, the patterns are saved.  My model is attached, give it a try just to see if the toolpath patterns are still intact.  If they are not, I would suggest you use the Fusion 360 Service Utility to repair your application.

Hello @jhackney1972 ,

Thanks for your quick reply. Very weird. I downloaded your file, and opened it in my Fusion 360. It indeed "remembers" the directions. I saved it in my original project, and even if I close Fusion 360, and re-open it, the directions are saved.

But if I do this on my own model, everytime I open it, the directions are missing, and I get the same error.

How did you select the X and Y axis? I do this by making the Origin visible, and then select the X or Y axis.

I used the Origin Axis as well to set the directions.  As I mention, it may be time to visit the Fusion 360 Service Utility.

Hello @jhackney1972,

Now it is even getting weirder. I took one of the setups, edited the pattern by removing the directions, and then selecting them again. Then I saved the model. And guess what, when I re-open my model, the ones I updated myself are lost again.

There must be a different way in how you selected the X and Y axis (wild guess).

Create a video and show how you are doing the process.  If you do not have recording ability, I can do it on my end.  Let me know.

@jhackney1972 Trying the Service Utility - but it fails because of a process "node.exe" that I have to kill in the Task Manager, but can't find it... Will reboot, and try again.

Great! Fusion360 fails to start. Even all instructions to launch the Service Utility give the same error. So even repairing doesn't work any longer.

I'm afraid I will have to do a complete re-install. It's not my day....

Hello @jhackney1972,

Ok, I had to completely uninstall Fusion360, and then redownload and install it (even normal install didn't work, because my crashed Fusion360 was creating issues with re-installing). Anyway, I'm back up and running.

I have the feeling that the issue is not persistent. I could save one of my models with the pattern, and this time it kept the pattern info. But I tried it again on my other model (I have a "Korry Large" and "Korry Small" model), and there I have the failure again. I did record it completely. See attached.

Anyway, it's not that I'm blocked in what I'm doing. I just need to re-create the patterns if I want to machine my parts. Not so hard (I'm not professional, only a hobbyist, so time is not money 😁). So don't spend too much time in it.
