direct surface edit along surface rails

Hey F360 crew!,

Is there a way to slide the surface edge/profile along the rails?  This would be handy when overbuilding the surfaces for future trim operations. I have seen this feature in Alias Surface.  Any chance it's hiding somewhere in F360?

Cheers,

Jack

You can extend a surface - the left hand direction, never tried your example, extend negative

If the rails are projected into the profile ssketch,  then yes you can move the profile sketch plane, with edit feature, I would not use redefine sketch plane for it.

it is more common to split face or split body.

Might help....

Nope, that's not hiding anywhere in Fusion 360. Just for clarification, if it comes to surfacing Fusion 360 does not nearly have the power Alias has, but on the other hand in the cases Fusion 360 creates acceptable surfacing results is't much faster to create it in Fusion 360 than in Alias.
