Dimensioning with variables support

Hi, I have a question about defining the lengths of lines in sketches.

Is there anyway to let the length of a line on a sketch drive a variable?

I know how to drive a dimension from the parameters window to the sketch, but can it flow the other way? My goal is to use dynamic dimensions on my sketch, in a formula to then define another aspect of my sketch.

Is there any documentation that covers the use of dimensions, variables, and parameters, in Fusion360?

Thanks,

Temple

No, currently that cannot be done but it has been requested many times.

What you are looking for is a driven parameter. That parameter you want to use to drive annotate parameter.

Sometimes you can work around it to calculate that driven parameter with some formulae but that clearly is a workaround.

I believe it is on the current road map to be implemented this year.
