Good morning,

Ive been seeing this for a couple of weeks now but am now sufficiently bothered by it to finally post!

Im want to dimension between a center line and a sketched hole but when i picked them it gives me a diameter and from the wrong point?

Any help would be appreciated.

Your video shows the problem and the fix.

Selecting a Centre Line with Dimension tool, invokes a diameter or symmetry dimension.

Selecting a (Origin?) point does not.

Might help....

When you use a centerline as one selection in your dimension you will automatically get a Diameter dimension.  If you right click before placing the dimension you can deselect the Diameter dimension and switch to a Radius.  The video will show this.
