Dimension lines on drawings

Not applicable
I created a drawing on fusion and when getting a dimension from the center of a hole to the edge of a part I noticed that the dimensions line did not extend to the actual center of the hole. Is this normal ?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for pointing to that.

Yes, that appears to be normal since the Radius and Diameter Dimension is correct when it is located outside of the circle.

Inside the circle you would have less space to add annotations but you have the flexibility to move the dimension closer to the center point.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Hi mechtech602005,

Adding to what Mike has mentioned, you may find this thread useful: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/diameter-and-radius-dimensions-horizontal/m-p...

Please let us know if that helps or if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Krithika
