Design Options

I'm just learning Fusion 360. What is the best way to save multiple design options? My understanding is the branching and merging functionality has since been removed from the software, but this would have been exactly what I'm looking for.

Is creating multiple copies of the same Fusion model the only way to save multiple options for a design? Likewise is there anyway to make a single component that can have multiple configurations or types? I'm use to working in Autodesk Revit where each Family can have multiple types which specify a set of parameter values.

No.. not how you would expect. You can do a lot of things with the Parameters, their expressions, using those parameters in Joints and component/body/feature patterns. But conditional suppression of any of those things isn't possible.

Saving out copies is your only option... you could use skeletal modelling and derive your SM into multiple designs and use that base to drive a family of parts in separate design files.

This will also help you: https://n3rdlab.com/downloads/sheeter/

Aside from that, you would need to use the Fusion 360 API to perform any kind of conditional suppression until the Fusion 360 dev team start working on a Configuration workspace of some kind.
