design a knife edge

I made one sketch to draw the shape of the knife, then I extruded it to body 2 mm thick,
so now I have knife blank which can be cut on waterjet or plasma or wire-cut.

Now I want to design the edge, I tried to make just chamfer but it is not working properly,

there are 2 reasons, I am not able to select properly the edges to limit chamfer scope, also there is an error when chamfer is too big.

I thought that maybe I should to design a couple of new sketches, for example 1 defining V shape of the curved edge, another limiting area where chamfer is applied, but I am not sure what is the best way and I feel that I haven't enough of control in this process.

So it you have any ideas let me know please, I am just beginner.

As a general rule, the fillets and chamfer commands should only be used at the final stage of a model, and more cosmetic reasons than form defining reasons.  (exceptions to every rule)

Your probably going to end up primarily lofting the bevels your looking for, and possibly a "sweep along path" for the final edge.

there is result based on my original design (sweep based on offset parallel path taken from the edge, profile is triangle leaving slight flat edge .15 per side for sharpening, added radius filet in the corner, then mirror to the other side)
