Depth in Geometric Patterns

Hi,

in such a geometric pattern design (thanks to the Product Design extension" how is it possible to manage the depth of the pattern?

I mean the depth in the Surface's normal direction...
there are parameters for U, V and rotation, but not for Offset.
By default the pattern is symetric to the selected face...

only way I ever found was to change the height of your custom object.  (which is a bit finicky)

Yes, that's what I found too, but it's not so user friendly.
and the worst is if you want a cylinder or a cube you have to redraw it as a custom object to edit it's height....
