Default drawing size

As always Autodesk takes one step forward and one step back.
It massively sucks that I need to remember every time to choose my drawing size every time I create a new drawing. This is complete BS.
It's nice being able to change the drawing size easily. Nice improvement guys.
Now just bring back the capability to permanently set a default drawing size.
You guys are so eager to remove features that are still needed. I keep hoping you will learn but it doesn't seem like it.

Hi,

Prior to creating a drawing, if you go into Preferences and select Drawings, you'll see that the Drawing Format property is set to Inherit From Design. This allows each new drawings to inherit its drafting standard; ISO or ASME (which also sets the default sheet size) from the model based on the model's units. So for a metric model, Inherit From Design will select ISO with an A3 sheet size. And for an imperial model, Inherit From Design will select ASME with a B sheet size.

If you are like me and know the drafting standard you want to use for all new drawings, then change the Drawing Format from Inherit From Design to ISO or ASME. This will display the Sheet Size property and allow the default sheet size to be specified. If you selected ISO, you'll see a list containing A4, A3, A2, A1 and A0. If you selected ASME, you'll see a list containing A, B, C, D and E.

Once you've specifued Drawing Format and Sheet Size in Preferences, the corresponding properties in the Create New Drawing dialog (the dialog you see when creating a new drawing from the model) will now default to these values for every new drawing you create.

Hope this helps, and thanks for the feedback.

Thanks,

Andrew
