Data Panel Empty

When I start Fusion 360 I get error messages that AdCefWebBrowser.exe is missing. When Fusion 360 is up the data panel is blank. I tried to uninstall Fusion 360 to do a new install but I get an error indicating the the uninstall program could not be found. I can not access any of my design data from Fusion 360 but I am able to see the data in A360.

What can I do to restore Fusion 360?

Eric

Fusion 360 now appears to be working properly. I can open the application multiple times andstill access the data panel.

Thanks

Eric

I am experiencing the same exact problem as @Anonymous. The steps listed in this forum have allowed me to run the program but the data panel is still empty.

I've attached the error that I get. I've tried fixing each issue in the bullet points listed in the error:

1. I have an internet connection

2. The corporate firewall is not blocking the application. We have two other computers running Windows 7 that work fine. (This one is Win 10) I unblocked the Autodesk folder in the AppData folder in Windows Defender

3. Same as number 2.

4. Unchecked the Automatically detect system settings in LAN setting for Proxy Server

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion 360 community!

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue! 😞

At this time, I am uncertain what could be causing this issue. Could you share your application log files with me? These will allow me to take a look at the processes Fusion is going through and allow me to narrow down my list of possible resolutions. We have created a great article, linked here, that describes how to obtain the application log files for your given operating system.

Could you also share your system information file with me? This will allow me to take a look at your machine specifications to ensure that there is nothing on your system that could be causing this behavior. To obtain the system information file:

1. Launch %windir%\system32\msinfo32.exe
2. Select Save from the File drop down menu (CTRL + S)
3. Please reply with the resulting *.NFO file attached

Thanks in advance for the files! I look forward to hearing back from you!

Cheers,

Mike Tessier

Hello,

I haven't figured out how to post a question from scratch, so I'm trying it through a reply from someone else's post that is similar in subject to my own problem.

On startup of 360, I now get an error msg box that says "..../AdCefWebBrowser.exe: Path does not exist" (screenshot attached).

I have tried the fix posted without success.

Fusion 360 at one time worked fine even after switching from windows 7 to Windows 10. I don't know if the problem started after a 360 update or a Windows 10 update since both have undergone updates prior to starting 360 from my last successful login.

Any info would be appreciated,

Thanks,

tc

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue!

Please attach the log file autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log located in directory %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk, and check if AdCefWebBrowser.exe exists in directory %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<Build Specific ID>\Win64.

Thanks,

Ting.

Ting,

Thank you for the fast reply.

AdCefWebBrowser.exe does not exist in the directory specified in your reply. Attached is the log file.

Also, attached is a screenshot of the contents of the Win64 folder.

Thanks,

tc

Hi,

Thanks for the log file and screenshot.

Could you try below steps:

  1. Disable anti-virus software, or let it allow “Adcefwebrowser.exe”
  2. Add an exception in the Firewall for the Adcefwebrowser.exe
  3. Uninstall and reinstall Fusion

Could you also check if “Adcefwebrowser.exe” was blocked by anti-virus software before?

Thanks,

Ting.

Hi,

Glad to hear it works.

BTW, I’d like to know which step fixed the issue, step 1, or step2, or both? If it was step 1, could you tell me which anti-virus software did you install?

Thanks,

Ting Lu

Ting,
I first started with step 3, I manually uninstalled 360 per instructions in previous posts.

Next, I added a Process Exclusion in Windows Defender for Adcefwebrowser.exe (Defender is my only anti-virus). I left the firewall settings alone.

I then reinstalled 360 and set it as "run as an administrator".

You may want to add exception to your anti-virus software for Autodesk Fusion 360 and for the adcefwebbrowser.exe file. Check out the below link for more information.
