cutting out a door

i have a design with curved sides, and i want to remove but keep on face from each side, like a gull wing door, but cant find any way to do this, i want the non flat side of this item cut away

trying to cut the area shown, 2mm in from the edge, and following the bottom of the edge, i am totally stumped
