I am very new to designing stuff and Fusion 360. I am trying to design a cylinder which will have a screw-on type lid. I managed to add the threads to the base, and created the second body which will be the lid. I'm trying to "cut" the exact thread shape into the lid, leaving the "inside" of the lid hollow.
I'm moving the lid body to the exact point where two bodies are supposed to meet, and run the Combine tool with cut, but that ends up removing one part of the body. I'm very confused as to how to do this. Been trying this thing for hours now and I'm really close to giving up completely and sell my 3d printer for real lol!
Can't tell what's wrong here, I've uploaded my file. Can someone show me the correct way to do this? Many thanks in advance.
