I'm having trouble with cut extrusions at the corners of a rectangular plate.
After creating the 88mm x 112mm x 3mm plate, I placed the centers of center-diameter circles at each of the rectangle's four corners, then selected E, selected the four circles, chose the "cut" option in the Extrude dialog, and began dragging the extrusion. This consistently returns an error "No target body found to cut or intersect!" I was confident the direction of the extrusion was correct, but I tried changing this too, without luck. I also tried moving the circles' center points in from the corners of the rectangle a millimeter or two each, but this didn't help.
By contrast, if I place a center-diameter circle on the surface of the rectangular plate, with the circle entirely contained within the rectangle's surface, the cut extrusion works normally.
Is there a reason why a cut extrusion won't work at the corners of a rectangular object? Is there a workaround?
