Curved surface to flat object.

Hello all,

 

i design a grip of a steering wheel in flat sketch.I want to make the top surface curved.But i can't.

Can you help me with that?

Here is the photo of the sketch.I want to curved top surface

That looks like a .stl file (mesh file).  Do you have the originating file?  It will be much easier to do what your asking with it. Fusion has limited abilities to edit mesh files.

Good news is that 123d files (as of this past march) will import directly into fusion now.  Just upload from the data panel at the left side of the screen.  Once the upload is down you can open directly into fusion.

 

I would suggest re-building this model entirely in fusion though.  The curves are a little wobbly in places, which will effect the quality of the final product.  But you can use the original as a guide so all the proportions are right.

 

I can think of a number of approaches to creating a curved surface on the top, but the approach used would really depend on what you want to end up with .  Could sketch on a screen shot what your wanting to end up with .

 

Below is a picture of your model with the curvature combs turned on for one of the edges, and a nearly identical curve that is smoother, so you can see what I mean by "wobbly"
