Creating body from patch

Hi,

I want to create a number of connected, thin walls as shown in the picture.

I started out with sketching the pattern, created patches, and now I am stuck. How do I turn this into bodies such that I end up with a lot of cells separated by 0.8 mm walls, following the sketched pattern?

We tried adding thickness, but that screwed up the model pretty much. We also tried extruding and shelling each triangle one by one, but that also ends up in a mess, leaving jagged lines.

Best regards

Max

Try going back to the internal sketch,

run Pipe command with square section profile, 0.8 x 0.8,

if that works you can Extrude the top surface, to make the rectangle section, (xxxx) x 0.8 wide,

Might help,

This is the second thread (today ?) that you started to get help out with that same design, yet so far I fail to see that you have shared the model. Here is a link that describes how to do that.

Maybe the next time you don't mark an answer as the solution before actually trying it out 😉

I watched that screencast and knew that this would not likely not work.
