Creating a revolve then modifying to follow spline

Hello!

I want to create this shape with a revolve  in the form space and then bend the centerline to follow that spline sticking off. I have tried doing it with a Loft, but this does not look correct due to the spline shape forming the outside boundary.

I'm not saying this is the best workflow and am keen to here what other users suggest, but your own idea of modifying a From Revolve kinda works if you spend time editing T-Splines (I didn't spend much):

Attach your failed attempt here (the actual *.f3d file).
This will give the Experts here some better clues about your true Design Intent.

Hamid,

Did you get those just by twisting and moving each individual section? I was wondering if there was a way to lay get the computer to put the centerline onto the spline.

Hi Gunther, I tried making a loft before but with the lower feature, a fillet does not blend it correctly.

Here are my first 3 versions and a picture of the 4th.  As you can see in the picture, it looks totally different to bend a form than to loft and then fillet. I did this manually, but what I want is for the centerline of the top to be attached to the spine instead of me putting a bunch of points on there and manually putting them near the centerline.

Hi,

Maybe a sloping loft base will help?

Why ? What is the difference between moving a spline fit point and moving a couple of vertices in a t-spline?

The effect is the same.
