Creating a "helix" pattern like seen on seashells

Still pretty new to Fusion360, and I tried messing around to find a solution to this with no luck.

I included an image below; I am trying to create a Helix(?) pattern that you would find on something like the image, where each of the individual sections are rounded, falling back into the recessed(?) sections.

I thought maybe a loft would work. I used a canvas to sketch what I wanted, but from that point couldn't figure out for the life of me how to actually make them convex like I wanted (and dozens of calculation errors occurring too..).

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

(I have decided to make an overly complicated shelf bracket lol...)

You need to explain more what you mean when you say "where each of the individual sections are rounded, falling back into the recessed(?) sections".
Could you add maybe a sketch, a hand drawn one to help us understand exactly what you're after, because the shape of each section (I'd call it segment) is not that hard to achieve, especially using the loft tool.
