Creating a human head in sculpt mode

Me and my friend are making human heads for an assignment, I already sculpted the two sides of the face and made the neck. But I can't figure out how to connect the two sides of the face. I have attached photos below for reference.

Use the weld tool  and weld corresponding nodes together.

is making it from scratch part of the assignment?  

 

there's a lot of info out there on modeling a head in sub-D.  the process would be the same with t-splines.

 

I occasionally need a body part for my work.  I use "makehuman"  to produce a quad mesh .obj, bring that into fusion, and convert it to a t-spline.
