Creating a custom thread

I need to create and model a M6x1 internal and exterior threads. I have read the posts and looked at the videos but I can't find the information I need.  Can anyone help?

Hello Joseph,

I prepared the video with an example. The thread is set based on the diameter of shaft/hole. Pitch is parameter you can set while creating thread. 

Thread could be displayed as a skin or real thread.
