Creating a curved text

Hi all,

I've been trying to figure out how to curve a text but to no avail, seeking help here please. Below is the prototype of the item that I am trying to replicate:

I have the font/2D sketch of the alphabet A, but I am struggling to figure out how to curve it from the top to the bottom of the alphabet, such that the middle part protrudes up. The curved text tutorials that I have found so far are mostly related to curving on a cylinder which isn't what I really want because the bottom of the text isn't flat but curved instead.

I am trying to do this for all alphabets & numbers as well, but need a guide on how to go about doing this please.

Thank you so much and much appreciated!

Hi,

The way I would do this is to type out your alphabet in a large font along a line.

Extrude the font to say double what you want in thickness.

Create a sketch perpendicular to the text.

Project the text onto the sketch

Create an arc the size you want on the sketch.

Split the Text body with the Arc as a cutting tool.

Remove the bits you don't want.

Lovely curved text.

You should be able to create the letters once. Save each letter as a component and then import and scale them

as needed in your designs.

Cheers
