I am modelling a Watt Governor, used on a steam engine to control its speed. I am struggling in creating a joint between the Bottom Pivot and its sliders.
I have included a screenshot of the model with a lot of the components switched off to make things clearer. There are 2 sliders, the one is not visible because it's around the back of the pivot.
The Bottom Pivot (Bracket) rotates a speed and is driven up and down via some links that are not shown. The sliders run in the Bottom Pivot and are attached to a fork, (also not shown) that rotates a steam valve.
The pin on the slider needs to be aligned with the centreline of the Bottom Pivot and run between the 2 faces of the pivot where it is approximately shown at the moment. So there needs to be a "sliding" joint between the top and bottom faces of each slider and the "groove" on the pivot.
How do I create this joint?
I am not sure if I have explained this very well but hopefully someone can understand what I'm talking about...
