creating a bevel on sketch

hello, total newb here, first day learning cad programming. that said, I am trying to figure out how to bevel the shaded area to nearly the center of the cutting edge of the knife. made it this far but roadblocked. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Based on what you have showed us, what I would do,

devolpe a patch loft, and cut extrude.

the red hilighted profile has three lines with a curve between each one, use both curves and the middle line as the first profile.

Create if is not there, a "centre line" profle on the bottom face of the blade shoulder. Aligned to the ends of the first and last line of the red edge. Copy of grey line/curve, half way down

Go to patch environment, Create that loft as a patch. 

Back to model environment, Then Extrude cut that patch profile, up above the solid.

Mirror the patch and extrude cut to the other side.

Try that or similar workflow.
