Create Flat Pattern Compute Fails Simple part, Mitered flange

I am having trouble creating a Flat Pattern from a simple part. The issue is with the flange with the angled sides. If I remove that, all is fine. I am able to fold and unfold, but a flat pattern fails with the following error:

Warning: FlatPattern1
Compute Failed
Can't successfuly process relief geometry. Check the body and paramters, they try again.SM_UNFOLDER_REPLACEMENT_WARNING

I created this angle by creating a flange on that edge, flattening and extruding off the corners to create a straight edge then re-folding.

I have tried solutions from this forum, as well as creating the flat piece and using the "Bend" function. With the same results every time. I have tried every option in the bend relief shape etc as well.

The reason these edges are angled, is so the piece of material can be cut on a shear, so no inside corners.

Please attach you model so the forum users can take a look.  If you do not know how to attach your model, open it in Fusion360, select the File menu and then choose Export and save the .F3D file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a reply forum post to attach it.

Your cut in a unfolded state violates the bend relief.  You can move the time line back, before the first unfold, and make your flat pattern and then move forward.  Later on, the flat pattern will update but it will still contain the warning.  By the way, why so many useless unfolds and refolds?  I remove all of these.  Model attached.

Thanks John!

I didn't realize having the flat pattern before would still update with the warning. I actually had one before those cuts, saw it threw a warning so I removed it and tried to re-create.  The extra folds/unfolds were just remnants of me trying everything I could.

flat pattern is failing all the way back after unfolding just the first flange.  this feels like a bug.

FWIW, attached is the approach I would take.

and the "error" or bug is easily reproduce able.  I can't see any reason why this should fail here.  attached is the reproduced error/bug

Thanks laughingcreek. It seemed strange to me, but I air fairly new to Fusion360. Its such a simple piece though. Even when I made a flat piece with same geometry and put a bend in it, it would still fail the same.

Your attached solution is a more elegant solution for sure. And no warnings. Although, the original way I would expect to work as well without warnings. Thanks Again for all the replies.
