Create a sketch from existing geometry

Hi

I've searched the forum, but cant find an answer on how to do this.

How do I select features of my existing model, and create a sketch from the edges of the model?

Thanks

John

This thread has several screen casts by @jeff_strater showing how to project into a sketch.

Hi,

please create a new thread, show your process in a screencast and share a sample file

File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach to post

I had the same question yesterday tho… Here it is perfectly and easily explained. Basically when you’re sketching you go to the sketch menu and click in include and there will be an option near the 3D sketch that says edges or something similar

Hi,

3D geometries can be correctly projected from both solids and sketches into an active sketch with "Project include 3d".
