Create a Flat pattern

Hi,

I am trying to create a flat pattern of a tube with copes in it.

When i select the flat pattern command it works without errors and opens another window. But instead of it being flat it is still the round tube.

What am i doing wrong?

Thank you.

I am happy to use your previous method as the work flow is pretty quick.

Hi! In terms of making the side faces perpendicular to the sheet metal faces, there is another technique to use in the folded model. You may create a zero-offset surface on the outside face. Then Thicken -> Intersect -> distance = thickness. Repeat the process from inside. Sometimes you may need to reverse the order (inside first, followed by outside). After that, the flat pattern body will be consistent (front and back).

This technique is called "Double-Thicken-Intersect," to ensure the perpendicularity of the side faces.

Many thanks
