Craft Knife Tutorial Help

Hi,

I have a done the sculpting tutorial and created a T-spline of the body of the knife. I am now using this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igLXNO7rwpk

However i dont understand how to create the grips for the knife. I have created the sketch using the spline tool of the curved lines but don't know how to create a seperate part for the grips from that sketch.

Thanks

Hi,

You can use Split Body in Modify Tools to create seperate parts.

You also can go to Samples project, check model "Utility Knife" directly, learn by replaying step by step in timeline.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have other questions.

Thanks,

Extrude the spline shape in one direction. Choose new component in the extrude options.
Then, extrude a second time in the opposite direction. Again, choose new component option.

You will most likely have to turn the sketch on after the first extrude as the first time you use a sketch in a feature the sketch visibility is turned off automatically.
