Copy vs. move sketch objects

Blank design. Create sketch, add rectangle. Put a circle and a point on rectangle, displaced from each other.

1) Right-click on circle, move/copy point-to-point, select circle center then the point. there is no copy option, only move. Cancel.

Click on circle, Ctrl-C, click on point, Paste. Move/copy dialog appears. Select point-to-point. This time the circle is copied, but the copy option is grey and not checked. Cancel.

Do 1) again. This time the action is copy, but copy option still greyed out.

It seems that once a Ctrl-C is selected, the copy action is now persistent with this sketch, and the move option is gone.

Intended behavior?

thanks

Hi,

I haven't looked at the file yet but are there any constraints that may be messing things up? Sometimes fusion will

automagically generate constraints, especially when you are placing geometry on some defined point. It may not be

able to copy geometry because it cannot copy the constraint.

Cheers

Edit sketch.

Select Circle

Right Click - select Move/Copy,

Check / tick copy box in dialogue first. (Just above OK button)

I usually drag a handle to prove there are 2 of them click OK

Set Coincident point and centre point as the move tool doesn't constrain at destination.

(In your design setting to an unconstrained point is pointless, just put the circle there.)

Might help...
