Hi,
i thought it is possible to copy/move a sketch to a component? I am sure i saw this in a tutorial.
Following is not possible:
- Create a sketch; Rectangle
- Press/Pull the sketch to make a body
- Create Component from Body
- Move/Copy corresponding sketch to component. The result is a "Warning: Illegal restructure. It will cause bad dependency." error
Question: Why is it not possible to keep a sketch along with "its" body if you create a component from the body?T his is a much needed feature to keep components variable.
Sidenote: I am quite new to Fusion360 but i also don´t understand why bodys are not a new component by default. All which would be needed is to switch between the global view and component view to create bodys within a component or to make a new component.
That way the global view would be destinated for the assamble of components. Thats would streamline things a lot (i think 😉
