Copy & Paste Sketch Quirk

Hey what's going on guys, I'm trying to copy and paste my sketch to duplicate it and unfortunately I'm having weird issues with ctrl + c and ctrl + v.

Occasionally I'll copy the sketch and it'll paste flawlessly, but at the moment I'm doing the exact same thing that worked for me ten minutes ago, but it doesn't work currently.

Is there a little detail I'm missing? I always try and copy and paste INSIDE sketch mode.

I've attached a screenshot for an example of what I am trying to copy and paste. I'd appreciate any help on the matter, thank you!

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Could you post an Autodesk Screencast showing your clicks and picks and the behavior. This will allow us to narrow down whether its a workflow issue or whether its a functionality issue.

I am looking forward to hearing back from you!

Cheers,

Hi @Anonymous,

Were you able to record an Autodesk Screencast? I am happy to assist further if you still need it!

Hi Mike, sorry for the late reply.

I'm having some trouble replicating the issue (which is good haha). I'll try my best to catch it next time and post it on here asap.

Hi!

I have some stupid problem with Copy and Paste, so I post my question in this topic.

I have a design with several sketches. Just to mention, I have created bodies out of these sketches. Then I've drawn an arc in one sketch and want to copy it in other sketches. I can copy it with right click -> Copy command but when I right click on the free space of the sketch or swich to another sketch and right click there, there is no Paste command in the drop-down menu. I've attached two screenshots showing it. Ctrl+V doesn't work either. I have tried to delete the bodies (just in case there is some kind of link that doesn't allow to edit sketches if they are "linked" to bodies) but it didn't help.

I tried to create a new design, created a sketch there and tried the same operation, and it worked flawlessly, no problem at all - just Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V. So the problem might be with my design. What can it be?

Regards,

In your no paste pic, the curve to copy is selected - darker blue -

deselect that curve and Paste will come into the Menu.

Might help....
