Hi,
I know that this can be done in a "hacky" way. It's more of a suggestion or maybe someone knows another hacky way of doing this.
Example : I have a 3d assembly of a guardrail that i use as a template. When i need to make a new one i just copy the assembly in another folder, play with the parameters and bam, i have an assembly that fits this specific project. However, i need to re-do all the drawings for the parts. You can understand that this is a repetitive task that i'm trying to get rid of.
One way around the problem is to create a drawing of the 3D model template, and download the drawing from F360 Teams as an F3D archive. Fusion then sends me a link with the drawing and the 3D file linked together. That works for me, however all my reference to my external components are lost and the external component files are copied when I import them back into fusion.
Is there another way to do this? If fusion would allow to copy a 3D model AND it's related that would be amazing since all the reference to external parts would be kept but i don't seem them doing this soon. It would be a great feature to allow teams to fork designs ( EX : Team A, B and C start with the same base, work on their branched approach)
