Copied objects and appearances

I have copied few objects, but I am unable to color individually. If I color one I color all. How I can stop them.

I was unable to understand the question, Are you applying 'Appearance(Color)' on the component or Individual bodies.

It will be helpful if you could you possibly post a screencast and the model itself.
