Converting lines into solid body

Hello all,

Does anyone have a reason or a simple solution as to why some drawings i do seem to form a solid body and make for an easy conversion into a solid body and some drive me up a wall like this one?  Thanks for the help much appreciated.

Hi,

1. Extrude needs a closed profile.

2. A closed profile can only be generated in one sketch and not in several

I made one from two sketches by projecting elements from one into the other.

you have 12 empty sketches in this model.  that makes me think your not being very mindful about creating new sketches vs editing existing ones.  to add to a sketch, go back and edit it, don't create a new one. (and when you accidentally create one you didn't need, delete it so you don't clutter things up)
