Convert Edge into Control Point Spline

I need to convert a flat edge into a control point spline. I have an example image added, the blue is suggesting the edge that needs to be converted and its position after being converted and modified, and the red is what the model should look like afterwards. How would I achieve this?Example

Nope, use what you already have, no conversions needed, based on the details you gave me,

Sketch the shape on the end face, (one of the blue profiles)

Create > Sweep - that profile select the top edge, select parallel, and Join.

(You don’t need the Extrude,) keep the base sketch,

if you Sketch that whole side face, and use 

Sweep, Path and Guide Rail, (2 longer lines in base sketch) parallel, will be just one body.
