Conversion of mesh to 3d printing object

I am importing a mesh into Fusion 360 and trying to convert it to a 3d printable object.

I have done a few things, but could not figure out how to do the below:

1. Removing the triangular faces of the mesh once converted to object(BRep)

2. Increasing the thickness of the object

3. Cut the mesh/object to get only the required part in a smooth manner.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

could you share the model maybe just a screen capture of it so we have an idea what you are working with ?

in general, removing the triangulation can only be done by re-meshing the object into a quad-mesh using external tools. Depending on how much detail you want to retain, it can get also laborious.

But, again, without knowing what type of object you are working with it is hard to give advise.

If I understand what you're trying to do, Modify -> Merge in the Patch workspace will help with number 1 (capture design history has to be off I believe). Just merging 2 adjacent co-planar faces will often fix the entire model.

Round holes, fillets etc are more of a pain and have to be recreated.
