Is it possible for contact set to temporarily over-ride motion links? In the attached model, I've created a motion link (Motion Link 7) that links the revolute joint (Arm) for the arm and the revolute joint (Rev6) for the Latch , Now when the arm is rotated, the link remains vertical. I want to deflect the latch when it come the latch strikes the pin. If I create a contact set between the latch and the pin it works as expect. The problem is when I unspress both the motion link and the contact set, the arm stops when the latch comes into contact with the pin. The contact set works as expected when the motion link is suppressed, and the motion link works as expected when the contact set is suppressed. How do I model the latch remains vertical until it is deflect?
(I assuming the latch would remain vertical when suspended by the pivot point and the system would work as described in Nature.)
