Configurations - renaming components

Is it possible to rename a component along with the configurations? I want to be able to have set sizes and link the changes to the component name to make saving out each size easier. Currently for saving out STL files for printing.

This is a feature I was able to do with a plugin with onshape.

I've also only just started to look into the options with configurations, as I just noticed that I had the buttons this morning.

the best way I see currently to do this is to drag and drop (ie insert) the configured model into a new (empty) model.  when you do it prompts you to  select a configuration.  keep doing this for each configuration (just put them all in the same model).  the names of each linked component will correspond to the name of the configuration.  then right clicking on the component will let you save as mesh, and the default file name will be the same as the component name.
