Configuration naming

Improvement suggestion for the configuration feature, when using new configuration feature, it is important to have the name of the parent component together with its configuration and not just the configuration name.

For instance, in this M3 fastener example. When the Configuration is 15mm I expect to see the name of the component with the selected configuration: "DIN912 M3 @ 15mm" or "DIN912 M3 / 15mm" or "DIN912 M3 {15mm}" and not just "15mm".

Of course it is possible to name the configuration accordingly but that is just crumblesom.

plz look into this.

tnx

Hi,

I think that one should not shoot from the hip, but have some patience with the development.
I am convinced that in the course of the next weeks and months there will be a lot of reports for a reflected development.

That's a good suggestion! This has already been suggested by folks in the Insider program and also on the Fusion 360 Slack Channel (only open to Autodesk Employees and Expert Elite members).

Hi @giladk,

I'm following up to let you know that we introduced a preference that lets you control how configured components are displayed in the Browser.

You can find it here and tailor it to display the way you'd like:Snag_24ad9cf7.png
