I hope I'm not posting a duplicate or already answered question here.

I am fairly new to F360 and need some tips. I am trying to design a trapezoidal box joined on the corners with a box joint. I am able to draw the trapezoid and add the joint cutouts of the joint, but I can't figure out how to put the angle on the top and bottoms of the "fingers" of the box joint. Same problem with making the top and bottom edge parallel to the XY plane. I'm guessing my design steps are out of order or something, but I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated.Plyo Box Face.jpg

Have you tried sketching on the face of the box add a construction line for symmetry and then extruding the drawn angles?

I'm sorry but I don't understand the question. I have drawn the "outline" of the piece from the Front view, turned it to the Right view, and tipped it 10 degrees on the X-axis. All that works fine, I just can't get it to extrude on the Y axis, it wants to extrude perpendicular to the plane of the piece.

I was able to fake the desired effect by copying the whole piece and explicitly drawing lines from point to point, but that doesn't seem to actually create a solid object.

Is this what you are trying to end up with? You can go through the attached model to figure out how I did it starting from the group in the timeline.

Thanks so much for your help. I was able to learn a lot from your example. It looks like I was missing both the correct order of operations and some design tools I wasn't familiar with.

I really appreciate you taking the time.

Cheers.
