Component not moving with rigid joint (rigid joint symbol split)

Hi

I opened an assembly this morning and one of the subassemblies in my assembly had moved and was no longer rigidly joined to another subassembly in the intended place. I have tried editing and deleting and redoing the joint but the part still stays in the same space on the workspace. I don't get an error with the joint creation, but I noticed the rigid joint symbol is split (see below). What does this mean?

Thanks

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I have never seen that split icon before.  I don't even know how that would be possible.  So, as @TheCADWhisperer requested, we'd like to see the model, if you can share it.

One point:  Joints applied to a sub-assembly can work differently than you might expect.  Even if all the parts in your sub-assembly are jointed to each other, creating a joint to the sub-assembly itself will not constrain the parts (since the sub-assembly itself is free to move).  So, for a Rigid Joint, selecting the parts is the best option.

I cannot share the files due to NDAs, but I'm happy to report that the part moved back where it was meant to after a bit of random dragging around. It seems to be fine now.

Thanks for your replies

Whenever you have unexpected behavior you should attempt to reproduce with "dummy" assembly.
