Component editing

Hello,

I have figured out a way to open a part of a drawing into a new drawing by drag and drop method. But when I drop a part, it converts into a 'component' which does not allow me to edit the shape incase I need slight changes . Is there any way I can do so ? because it saves time to do same things all over again.

Please guide me through

Thank you for posting on the Fusion forum....!

Have a question 'open a part of a drawing into a new drawing' could not able to understand.

Can you please share a bit more information on this what you are trying to achieve? is it regarding the part model or Drawing?

If possible please create a short screencast for the same and share it with us.

using the word "drawing" is confusing b/c there is a sperate drawings workspace.  It's where you layout technical drawings to be printed out on paper.

your talking about inserting a component into your current model.

is it still linked (has the little chain symbol next to the name?)

if so you can click the pencil icon at the end of the name to "edit in place" (a brand new feature) to edit the original model that was linked

or

you can break the link so that it is unique to your model and doesn't make changes to the original-

right mouse click-
