Combine two Solids and Delete Solid history

Hi,

in order to reduce my file size (.step) I´m trying to combine multiple solids into one, so I end up having only one single solid without extra information. 

But after combining all the single components into one. I can still select the individual parts the model contains, which means there still must be information left in the file about where theese parts were located. In the Browsertree I only have one Body.

I was wondering if there is way to delete this Solid-history. After researching I think this can be done in AutoCad by using the BREP Command.

Is there something similar in Fusion360 or another way to solve my problem?

Depending on what your design looks like and how it's currently structured, combining separate solids into one single solids isn't necessarily going to reduce file size.

Can you share more details about your project or perhaps even share the model in .f3d format ?

In general (IIRC) only geometry visible in the viewport is exported.

Something doesn't add up in your problem description.

1. If you Combine all bodies and Export as STEP - it should be only one body.

2. You can delete solid history by right clicking on the top node of the browser or by clicking on the "gear looking" glyph in lower right of screen. 

There might be a couple of other steps after this to clean out some additional items.

3. But as indicated - this may or may not significantly reduce the file size.

Attach your file here to end all doubt.

If you have internal voids that are not necessary for the destination file - this is another way to reduce the number of part faces.
