Can you at least Attach an image?

I am trying to figure out what physical properties you would have not changing.

My first thought is maybe you meant appearances rather than physical properties (like Density, Modulus of Elasticity...).

when using combine, the resulting body will take on the material of the "target"

you could use boundary fill.  the result of boundary fill will be the default material.

I think the above link will work. Not sure. My first attempt.

The problem is the Router X Axis Sled.

The bearings are all stainless steel whereas they were not to begin with. The inner ring should be black plastic.

The sled platform is supposed to be clear, not steel.

Also, the Sled will move on the X Axis.

Have not been able to get the Y Axis assembly to move yet. Still working on that.

Any help appreciated.
