Colored 2D Drawing

Hello,

Is there a way in Fusion 360 to export a model from the "3D environment" into the "2D drawing envioronment" while retaining it's color appearance instead of converting to just lines? This is useful when creating exhibition design to help seperate all the funiture within a cubic space with 4 walls

Thank you in advance!

Mike

Hello Mike,

Thank you for posting this question. At this time from the export command within the 3D Model there is not a way that I can think of that will allow you to produce a 2D colored image shown in your attachments. Taking a screen shot of the model in a "Top" view look is the best I could think of, but again nothing from the export command will allow you to do this. Let me know if you have any further questions or needed clarification on this?

Best Regards,

Don Warner

Hey @macxike - These types of "colored views" in the context of drawings aretypically called Shaded Views, which it sounds like what you're asking about.

Good news! We currently have a portion of our team dedicated to building out this feature, and we are targeting the July release timeframe to make it available to users like yourself.

If you have any examples of how you're looking to use these views in your work, that would be really helpful for the team to see!

Best,

Timera

Lol yes, after I posted but since 2015 the drawing tool doesn’t have colours options 😪

Your request is available today.  Just add your appearances to your model and place the views as shaded.

Just so you know this is a Fusion Model, the assembly is attached.  Try it for yourself.

Well, When I say coloured I mean the outlines themselves so you can get a better understanding visually of complex shapes...

We didn't realize that, since that wasn't what the post as about.

Will probably be a while before we get that.
