Closing sheet metal rip gaps

Hi

What wold be a smart way to close gaps in sheet metal. The finished product has the corners welded, so there are no gaps. I would like to be able to render this, but without "baking" my sheet metal part.

I guess i could model out the gaps, but maybe someone has a better idea?

Thanks for giving it a go.

I wanted to simulate a perfect welded edge for the render. The easiest in the end was to model the enclosure as a body and subtract the sheet metal part. That way I have little bodies to fill the gaps, that I can turn on and off.
