Claude integration into Fusion

Does anyone have any specific uses for the Claude integration?  I haven't figured out how this can be useful.  I was able to get a Kickstarter widget made by pointing Claude AI at it.  It was a little clunky however.

Some people have been saying that some workflows can be accelerated but I can't figure out a use case.

Are we at the infancy or what am I missing?

Hi,

In theory you can tell the AI exactly what you want and it will return a full

design. In theory. In Practice what you really do is either give the AI

something to start with and modify or do some kind of iterative AI stuff like

make this, modify it, modify it some more, etc.

While I am sure that AI will do some loopy things I feel that AI isn't anywhere

near ready to start taking over Design. Would YOU fly on an Aircraft or Rocket

that was WHOLLY designed by an AI? If the answer to that question is yes then

I shall keep an eye out for your Funeral Notice.

We already know that AI tells outright Lies. We already know that AI will sumarise

great swathes of other peoples work and then either give an answer with so many

caveats that the summary is useless or it will be skewed towards how many sources

it has found. If ONE is correct AI will overrule it with the multiple wrong ones.

People say that AI is "getting better". What it is really doing is learning how to be

more subtle so it can still Lie to us and tell us what we want to hear but in a manner

that is a lot harder to detect. Nobody has made their fortune on the Stock Market

yet using AI. Many have tried and all are now Broke.

In my experience of using AI and fusion so far, I have been limited to Automated

Modelling. The Designs that fusion returns so far are typically unusable or so

complex that the only way to fabricate them is by Laser Sintering 3D Printing, which

is expensive and I don't have access to. Also most of the AI designs are just plain

UGLY (as in not aesthetically pleasing to the eye).

I have not yet tried to use the AI to automagically create code for CNC machining

yet but apparently it does ok. I have used AI to create my Engineering Drawings.

That was also ok but I still had a lot of work to make them fully compliant and

actually usable on the shop floor.

I have heard a few rumours about using AI to magically create some masterpiece

with associated YouTube videos. They are there but what you don't see is what is

not shown on camera or edited out.

I will keep playing until I get comfortable with it. Will I trust my Life with it? No. I

think we may be a few Decades away from that scenario just at the moment.

Cheers

Andrew

I think you are highlighting what others are missing in that when i review an AI answer from something I know well I can see the mistakes.  Yet when I ask it do do something complex that is outside of my knowledge base I have little concept of what can be trusted.  I think the future of AI will supercharge the  domain experts who have an Insights and good Vocabulary.  Everyone else will be left behind.
