Center rectangular pattern

I have a rectangle and a rectangular pattern. I need to center the rectangular pattern with the rectangle or the origin. Contrary to other products Fusion does not seem to have a command where you can select 2 shapes and select align to center which does the easy trick. Also the rectangular pattern seems to be missing a center as all the hovering I tried fail to discover any.
Is there any way one could center a rectangular pattern in Fusion without having to calculate and add dimensions which is slow and breaks the center upon subsequent dimensional changes?

Thank you

Hi

I don't know where you get your hunches. But I do know that in sketch mode you have several constraints to realize something like this. One of them is the midpoint constraint.
Furthermore, elements can be arranged symmetrically from the center in 2 directions.
What you should not do, however, is to create an arrangement of a larger quantity in sketch mode. For this purpose the environment of bodies and surfaces with their options is much better suited.

I looked at all constraints before asking the question.T

he midpoint constraint puts a point to a line and in this case we need a point to a center. The symmetry constraint needs 2 elements and an axis and in this case we don't have two elements.

We will need to see what you are trying to do.

Centering an object on another object is a run of the mill operation that should be achievable in one or 2 clicks.
Sorry, but having to create 3 new element in this case helper lines (I have normal rectangle not a centered one) is a workaround rather than a solution. I can think of other complicated workarounds using creation of supplementary elements using calculated dimensions too.

Cheers

Construction lines were designed for a reason.  Learn to use them 🤔  Only two are needed for this operation, not three.

If this is too complicated for you, it is of course regrettable.
