Capture image - ISO view model with dimension

I am trying to take a snapshot in the model view with a visible dimension.

I pick my points with the measure tool, the dimension shows up, I rotate the model view so that the dimension is legible and then try to capture an image. The image shows the view as expected, but the dimension is gone; both from the snapshot and the model after the image capture is done.

Does anyone have any idea if there is a solution to this?

I know that I could use drawing to convey the message, but in order to share a single dimension, a model image capture is a lot easier and a lot faster.

If that dimension is also captured somewhere in a sketch, then there might be a workaround for this.

Find that sketch in the browser, right-click on it and select show dimensions.

Thanks for the suggestion. That could work if the sketch had a couple of dimensions, but it gets too noisy with more and defeats the purpose of pointing out a single dimension.

I just went with plain old print screen 🙂
